On the stage of the Assembly Hall, Bldg. X, SSU, on September 21, there took place the grand opening of the 62nd season of the SSU Student Club. Its members showed the performance about the Creative Lovers of Unique Boundlessness corporation – abbreviated C.L.U.B.

The event was hosted by Vlad Kovalenko (the Faculty of Sociology) who announced the beginning of the event and invited Director of the club Mark Pinkhasik for a welcoming speech.

‘It is very nice to see a full house, it makes me happy. We have been preparing this concert, as always, primarily for first-year students, so that they would get acquainted with our amateur performances. They will continue our traditions and perform on this stage. We are always glad to see everyone who want to participate in the Student Club in Room 101 and on stage,’ he said and wished the club members good luck in the new season.

The story began with two students – Vitalii Ageyenkov (a costume designer of the Student Club), who headed the Creative Lovers of Unique Boundlessness corporation, and Mikhail Musaelyan (a freshman of the Institute of Chemistry), who had never been a member of this creative organisation.

A Club meeting was held on the stage, attended by the Department of Ideas, the Department of Panic, the Department of Yesterday's Deadlines, the Department of Final Words, Unnecessary Thoughts, and Obsessive Songs.

The plot was intertwined with creative items. The Sea dance was performed by the Territory of Experiment little theatre, the Light singing group sang the Sails song. The Bashkir dance was presented by the Department of Rehearsal and Synchronicity – the ArT-mix modern dance group, a student of the Faculty of Philosophy Alina Mirzoyan and a student of the Institute of Chemistry Alexander Zhumagaliyev performed the We Are Together song.

The main character, Mikhail Musaelyan, finally got to C.L.U.B., where they were ready to make true only one of his requests. While he was thinking, ditties were performed on the stage. After them, continuing the folk topic, the Meridian group performed the Mad dance.

When Mikhail said that he wanted to be popular, Vitalii advised him to learn from the Look at Them team to be spectacular and then deal with his inner world. The SophKom fashion theatre of the Institute of Physics would help the main character with his appearance.

As a result, Mikhail refused to be popular after he met Vladislav Kovalenko – he had a huge range of responsibilities, and a crowd of girls was constantly following him, therefore, he could not live normally.

The Department of Laziness and Procrastination recommended the main character to be as he was. The Collage Theatre showed a scene based on the cartoon entitled The Nightmare Before Christmas, and the Ladies Law team performed a dance to the Shore song. The Territory of Experiments team danced to the singing of students of the Institute of Philology and Journalism Svetlana Telyatnikova, and MaC performed the Kid dance.

Meanwhile, Mikhail continued talking about popularity and called the Department of Ideas, which only confused him more. The dynamic ballroom dance of the Tete-a-Tete duet and the performance of the KNFAM team went to the stage, the ArT-mix modern dancing group entertained the audience, and Artyom Flyagin (the Institute of Sports and Physical Training) and Karina Utaliyeva (the Institute of Philology and Journalism) energetically danced on the stage to the Mambo Italiano song. Sati Kazanova's song, The Best Is Waiting for Us Ahead, was performed by the SSU singing group.

‘It does not matter who you are – an actor, a dancer, a prop person, or a stage worker. It is important that you are part of one big team. A team that creates and does things that evokes emotions in the viewers,’ Varvara Ananyeva (the Institute of Philology and Journalism) from the Department of Final Words summed up in a timely manner. And the main character finally decided what he wanted, ‘I want to be understood and accepted.’

At the end of the story, Mikhail became Head of the C.L.U.B. corporation. and he mentored the new freshman, as Vitalii once had mentored him.

At the end of the concert, the team of singers performed the For the Sake of Art song, which united all the members of the club on stage.
