Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valerii Falkov is congratulating on Defender of the Fatherland Day.

‘On February 23, our whole country is celebrating the Army and Navy. All those who have devoted their lives to strengthening the power and security of our country. Who are protecting our great common Homeland today and protecting the peaceful life of the citizens.

This holiday contains the values of our people – patriotism, citizenship, as well as respect for the valour of our ancestors and their achievements. Even in the most difficult times, our researchers and engineers have developed science and technology, directing all their efforts to ensure the welfare and defence of the state.

Preserving traditions, today, together with industrial enterprises, universities, and scientific organisations are creating unprecedented innovations to achieve technological leadership in Russia. For the accelerated development of our country, the higher education system is updated, and we will be able to train specialists for the most urgent needs of the economy.

Today, a new generation of heroes defends the Russia's national interests in the zone of the special military operation. And the whole country wishes them Victory, waits for the warriors to return home, and supports their loved ones. Surely, this Defender of the Fatherland Day will be filled with pride for our past and present, confidence in the future.
