Saratov State University hosts a celebratory assembly to the opening of new academic year on 1 September. The assembly will take place at the Students square at 10:00.

The Day of Knowledge will gather not only students and faculty members, but also university graduates, partners, Saratov Region administration representatives. SSU Rector A.N. Chumachenko, Board of Trustees members and honored guests will address the assembly.

First year students will receive symbolical documents – student’s record book and student ID. Student Club artists will present their show; SGU.fm members will organize a new flashmob. Flags of the Russian Federation, Saratov Region and Saratov State University will run up at the Students square.

After the assembly the students will meet with deans, directors, curators at their faculties and institutes.

Later that day representatives of natural science faculties will meet with FTL high-school students. The meeting will take place at 11:15 in Bldg. IX, office 401.
