Russian Science Foundation have summed up the results of the competition for grants for small individual research groups. According to the results, the Foundation Council chose 1,392 projects. including nine grants for the scientists from Saratov State University.
The winners are Professors of the Department of Open Systems Physics Aleksei Pavlov (New trends in diagnosing interaction of complex networks: application in EEG research) and Olga Moskalenko (Intermittent behaviour near the boundary of generalised synchronization in the case of interaction of completely different dynamic systems: model systems, radio engineering experiment, real neurophysiological data).
The projects of our researchers were also supported: Senior Researcher of the Remote Controlled Theranostic Systems Lab Polina Demina (Photoluminescent structures based on nonwovens and perovskite nanoparticles), Associate Professor of the Department of Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry Vyacheslav Grinyov (Multifunctional biologically active and bioorthogonal fluorescent materials based on oxazolone hydrazones, their derivatives, and complexes for biomedical applications), Chair of the Department of Analytical Chemistry and Chemical Ecology Tatyana Rusanova (Multifunctional sensory materials for simultaneous concentration and determination of biologically active compounds), and Chair of the Molecular Biology and Cytogenetics Laboratory Tatyana Kritskaya (Study of the state, structure, and polymorphism of Calophaca wolgarica (L. F.) populations in DC Southeastern Europe).
Among the staff of the Faculty of Psychological, Pedagogical, and Special Needs Education, the grant support will be received by Chair of the Department of Pedagogical Psychology and Psychodiagnostics Marina Grigoriyeva (Adaptive readiness of subjects of higher education in permanent changes in the world) and Chair of the Department of Social Psychology of Education and Development Rail Shamionov (Social and psychological factors of support for discriminatory attitudes: intergenerational analysis). In addition, RNF noted one project of Dean of the Faculty of Law Galina Komkova (Propaganda in Russian law: transformational and institutional changes).
‘The contest of projects of fundamental and exploratory research by small individual scientific groups has been held by Russian Science Foundation for the third time and is the legal successor of the contest of initiative scientific projects of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research. Every year, about ten projects of scientists of our university become winners of this competition. It is important to note that the projects supported this year cover most of the spheres supported by the fund. There are many physicists, chemists, and humanities scholars among the winners. The supported projects are interdisciplinary and correspond to the strategic projects of the Priority 2030 programme of our university,’ Head of the Office for Research Olga Moskalenko explained.
One RNF grant is up to 1.5 million roubles. The research teams must use the money on fundamental and exploratory research in 2024-2025 in all the spheres specified in the tender documents.
