Olesya Simanovich, a 2nd-year student of the Faculty of Law, won a prize of 1 million roubles at the third season of the All-Russian competition "Your Move".
During the competition, the final tests of the participants were held: protection of projects on the I Do track and testing of team leaders. The winners of the track were 200 people from 46 regions of Russia, each of them will receive 1 million roubles. In addition, activists will go to the World Youth Festival as part of the More than a Journey programme.
Olesya Simanovich's project, A Very Simple Discovery, is aimed at helping schoolchildren and students discover their abilities and talents through a contest of social videos on topical public topics about patriotism and universal values. The initiative includes a cycle of cultural, socially useful events and business games.
‘The simplest discovery is the discovery of yourself and your talents. Our project solves the problem of insufficient motivation of young people to participate in public life and invites them to try to express themselves in events where they can learn to express their opinions, find like-minded people and contribute to the development of the country,’ Olesya Simanovich commented on the project.
The closing ceremony of the Your Turn forum and the awarding of the winners took place at the Main Stage concert hall on December 14 in Moscow. Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Olga Petrova stressed that the forum has once again become a real celebration of students, opportunities and positive emotions.
On the same day, at the closing ceremony of the forum, Chair of the Council of Undergraduates and Postgraduates, SSU, a student of the Faculty of Sociology Vladislav Bykov entered the top-50 best ambassadors of the Your Turn All-Russian Student competition at the end of this year.
‘This is the third time I have participated in the largest student event. In 2021, I was a volunteer, and in subsequent years I was a participant. The project is getting better every year: the site is changing, the preparation and the form of interaction with the participants are improving. Thanks to the forum, I managed to make many new acquaintances, exchange knowledge with the brightest representatives of the Russian studentship,’ Vladislav Bykov shared his impressions of participating this year.
The organisers of the Your Turn forum are the Ministry of Higher Education and Science of Russia, Rosmolodezh, and the Russia is a Country of Opportunities presidential platform. This year, 2,200 students from 80 regions of Russia have taken part in a large-scale student event.
