Dean of Faculty of Psychology Lyudmila Aksenovskaya Described Psychological Training in SSU
On November 22, psychologists celebrate their professional holiday. On the eve of Psychologists’ Day, in the Research City section, there was uploaded an interview with Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, SSU, Chair of the Department of Social Psychology, and Chair of the Saratov regional branch of the Russian Psychological Society Lyudmila Aksenovskaya.
She told us about the history and modern status of psychological training at Saratov State University. It started at SSU thanks to such famous scholars as Semyon Frank and August Krogius. ‘Due to the fact that such specialists touched upon the life of our university, we are ranked together not only with the best domestic, but also with the best world psychological schools,’ Lyudmila Aksenovskaya noted.
The interview focuses on the training of future psychologists – master's degree courses, including the Lyudmila Aksenovskaya’s own course entitled Order Methods in Psychology.
There, she commented on the spheres where the graduates of the faculty work, and explained how the profession of a psychologist changes over time.
Last year, the Faculty of Psychology established a new tradition of celebrating Psychologist Day – it organised a day of practical psychology. SSU graduates who work as consulting psychologists and clinical psychologists from SSMU conducted a series of master classes. This year, the next day of practical psychology will be held on November 25. The opening of the lecture hall will take place at 11 am in the Assembly Hall, Bldg. 12.
