On March 25, SSU was visited by honoured guests who came to Saratov for the All-Russian meeting of heads of regional branches of the RSB in Saratov Region. At the university, they were shown research laboratories and introduced to the current directions of scientific work at the university.

Among the high-ranking guests of the university were Head of the Department of State Youth Policy and Organisational Work of the Russian Ministry of Higher Education and Science Dmitrii Pokrovskii, Deputy of the Russian State Duma Julia Drozhzhina, Head of Student Medical Brigades of the RSB Christina Sidorova, and Minister of Youth Policy and Sports of the region Oleg Dubovenko.

The guests were met by SSU Rector Aleksei Chumachenko and Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Organisational Work Anton Golovchenko.

D.E. Pokrovsky, Yu.N. Drozhzhina and K.A. Sidorova visited research sites in the VIII building of SSU: the Interfaculty Technological fablab, opened this year as part of the Priority 2030 programme, the Magnetic Materials Laboratory, the Biomedical Photoacoustics Laboratory, the Remote Controlled Theranostic Systems Laboratory, and the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine and Medical Technologies. The scientists spoke about the results obtained during the research and about the possibilities of practical application of these results.

The Dean of the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine and Medical Technologies Sergei Kireyev told how the training and practice of medical students at SSU takes place. The participants of the tour learned about the Pirogov unique interactive complex, which helps future doctors to study anatomy.
