Sber and Saratov State University have agreed on cooperation in ESG.
Sber experts will conduct a series of lectures on cybersecurity for students. They will be taught how to use the Internet safely, preventing cyber fraud, as well as use banking products correctly. The project is implemented as part of the agreement on cooperation on sustainable development and ESG transformation of the region signed between the Saratov branch of Sberbank and Saratov State University.
The agreement was signed by SSU Rector Aleksei Chumachenko and Managing Director of the Saratov branch of Sberbank PJSC Alexander Reshetnyak. The meeting was attended by SSU Vice-Rector for Economics Irina Novikova and representatives of the Security Department of the Saratov branch of the bank.

Alexander Reshetnyak, Managing Director of the Saratov branch of Sberbank:
‘Sber and SSU have long-term partnership relations, and the next significant stage of their development is the signed agreement. We are going to define additional areas of cooperation to combine knowledge, experience, and resources in order to jointly implement innovative technological solutions and train highly qualified specialists for the economy of the region. We pay special attention to young people and support their interest in modern technologies. To do this, we do not only create technological products and services, but also share our experience and resources with educational institutions. Surely, our cooperation with the SSU will develop in various directions and the scope of our joint interests will only expand.’
Aleksei Chumachenko, Rector of Saratov State University:
‘We could also make a significant contribution to these tasks. We are implementing many projects in medicine. For example, the Clinical Decision Support Systems project, supported by PRF. It is focused on helping medical professionals make clinical decisions. As part of the formation of an effective urban space management system, our scientists have developed a digital platform for managing the development of the Saratov agglomeration, research is conducted in geoinformation systems. We are glad to cooperate, we are waiting for suggestions and tasks from you, and we are ready to come up with the solutions for their implementation.’
The parties agreed on the next meeting to discuss the full range of areas of further cooperation and to tell the representatives of the bank about the university and the latest developments, show the laboratories, and get acquainted with our scientists.
