SSU Rector Alexei Chumachenko has met with CEO of Saratovorgsintez LLC Alexei Ivanov. They discussed issues of further cooperation between Saratov State University and the leading chemical industry enterprise in Saratov.
There is one agreement on cooperation in the training, industry, and research between SSU and Saratovorgsintez LLC. It is aimed at improving the educational level of students and updating the personnel potential of the plant. The mutual work is underway to train highly qualified specialists of Bachelor's degree courses in chemistry, chemical technology, and technosphere safety and Master's degree courses in chemical technology. The university teaching staff participate in the retraining of the company personnel. The university and the enterprise have been cooperating in terms of the main technological processes. They will continue their partnership in all these areas.
At the Institute of Chemistry, SSU, Alexei Ivanov was introduced to the scientific and technical infrastructure and showed the classroom for seminars of students on various aspects of chemical technologies. The staff of the Department of Petrochemistry and Technogenic Safety commented on the organisation of classes in the classroom of SSU Bldg. 1, which was renovated in 2023 with the support of Saratovorgsintez LLC.
Associate Professor of the department Igor Nikiforov demonstrated an educational and training complex. This is an accurate 3D-model of the production line of the enterprise, with which you can visually imagine the technical device of the enterprise.
The meeting with Alexei Ivanov was attended by the 3rd- and 4th-year students of the Institute of Chemistry. The CEO told them about the practical features of their future profession and noted the importance of the development of chemical technologies in the Russian Federation. Interactive activities were organised for the participants of the meeting – presentations, quizzes, and contests with valuable prizes from the company. Some of them were offered to wear a closed-type insulating suit and personal protective equipment against falling from a height, which are used at the enterprise. At the end of the meeting, the representatives of Saratovorgsintez LLC called on students to develop in the profession, and also noted that they would be waiting for them in their company after graduation.
The partnership relations of SSU with PJSC Lukoil and the subsidiary of LLC Saratovorgsintez have deep historical roots and lasted for more than 60 years. Nowadays, the cooperation agreement is being in training, industry, and research.
