The Marathon of Professional Development started in Saratov State University on Monday. This project provides students with the opportunity to visit various companies and enterprises of the city and region, find out about vacancies in the labour market, and ask potential employers all questions.

The marathon includes the Week without Turnstiles All-Russian project, which will be held from October 9 to 15. There, students will visit employers' sites with face-to-face excursions and see the production at enterprises.

From October 16 to 29, the events will be held as part of the Employment Week at SSU. Representatives of employers will visit the university, conduct master classes and business games, as well as answer students' questions.

The main goal of the marathon is to increase the competitiveness and demand of SSU students and graduates in the labour market, develop their creative potential in self-presentation and public speaking. One of the tasks of the large-scale project is career guidance of students, popularisation of professions and specialties in demand in Saratov Region, motivation for internships at the enterprises of the region, promotion of employment according to courses taken, as well as the organisation of secondary employment of students.

The marathon was joined by such enterprises and companies as LLC IC Sibintek, Neoflex, LLC Engels Spark Plugs, LLC Rubezh, JSC Design Office of Industrial Automation, JSC SPC Almaz-Phazotron, LLC Drive Click Bank, GC Ruble Boom, Sovcombank PJSC, and many other organisations, as well as colleges and universities of Saratov and Saratov region.

The organiser of the project is the Regional Centre of Graduate Employment and Labor Market Adaptation, SSU, together with the institutes, the faculties, the colleges, and the student associations of the university.
