The VIII Week of Pedagogical Education starts at Saratov University. As a part of the scientific and educational festival, on March 22, at 10:00, the plenary session and a series of blitz lectures on the digitalisation of modern education will be held in the assembly hall of Bldg. X. It will be possible to attend the events both face-to-face and online in Zoom.
The scientific meetings will be moderated by Head of Priority Projects and Programmes, Professor Elena Yelina. Experienced specialists in the field of school and university teaching will speak as speakers. On the first day of the events, the participants of the "Week of Pedagogical Education" will be greeted by SSU Rector Aleksei Chumachenko.
In addition to the plenary session, the festival program will include a student competition of pedagogical skills "Step into the profession" and a pedagogical Olympiad "Matrix of opportunities for a student and teacher in a digital environment."
The grand opening of the competition will take place on March 23 at 15:00 in room 511 of the X building. The first stage of the professional and creative competition will be “Self-presentation”. Contestants will showcase their business cards on the topic “Teaching Profession in the Digital Age”.
On Wednesday, March 24, future teachers will have to prepare an essay on the topic "Digital communication between a teacher and parents: infinity of possibilities." This stage of the competition will be held in the format of an online connection, the broadcast of which will take place at 11:00 from room 511 of the X building of the university. The coordinator of creative tests will be the deputy head of the SSU department of social work Marina Kabanova.
On the same day, the pedagogical Olympiad "Matrix of Opportunities for Pupils and Teachers in the Digital Environment" will be held. Intellectual competitions will be organized in the assembly hall of the XII building. This part of the program will be moderated by Chair of the Department of Pedagogy Ekaterina Balakireva and Associate Professor of the same department Natalia Kurchatova.
On Thursday, March 25, the participants of the "Step into the Profession" competition will hold an open lesson, where they will show in practice the level of their pedagogical competencies. This stage of the competition will be the final one.
The results of the VIII Week of Pedagogical Education and the Student Competition of Pedagogical Skills "Step into the Profession" will be announced on March 26. The ceremony will be hosted by Chair of the Department of Russian Philology and Media Education Olga Dmitriyeva and Deputy Head of the Department of Social Work of SSU Marina Kabanova.
