Initiated by SSU alumni and partners a project was launched to create a university endowment fund. Such funds are already functioning in other Russian leading universities.

The SSU Endowment Fund is a strategic tool for the long-term development of the university. Any ruble contributed to this fund will not disappear, it remains there forever – only the income received from the invested funds will be spent. Thus, the foundation provides a modern system of independent financial support for SSU and gives philanthropists an opportunity to make a long-term contribution to the development of the university.

The fund financial resources will be increased on a donation basis. The money will be provided by the university alumni, its partners, the members of university consortia, and the working groups in various areas of university activities. The fund expenses will be approved by the members of the Endowment Fund Management Council, which includes the university graduates – famous and authoritative people and business partners of the university.

Now the SSU endowment is being formed: the payments are accumulated on a separate account, and they will be subsequently transferred to the management company. The funds received from capital management will be used for the development programme of Saratov University, material support for the professors and the students, and consolidation of the university infrastructure. The fund budget can be spent on any kind of university activity reflected in the SSU Regulations.

The Legacy, an initiative of the Rybakov Foundation, will administrate and support the SSU endowment capital on a gratuitous basis. Fundraising in support of the university is open on a specialized project page.
