On December 3, the Governor of the Saratov region V.V. Radaev met with the participants of the project "#MyVmeste". He congratulated the volunteers who were awarded the commemorative medal "For their selfless contribution to the organization of the All-Russian action of Mutual Assistance"#My place is"". Among them is a 1st year student of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology Andrey Olevsky.

"The medal you have been awarded contains a huge layer of kindness, efforts in the name of people, their life and health. Along with the doctors, you joined the fight against the pandemic, became a support for the doctors themselves, and for those who need help – the support of society. As Vladimir Putin said, today the words “we are together” are a symbol of hope for the whole country. After all, what unity is is not only common values. This is a voluntary mobilization of everyone for the sake of overcoming difficulties. You, volunteers, with your energy, mobility and selflessness are at the forefront of the "We are Together" movement," the head of the region stressed.

The Governor noted that in practical terms, the result of the volunteers' activities is tens of thousands of residents of the region receiving food and medicines, numerous charity events, work in call centers, hospitals and polyclinics.

The volunteers told about their work, ongoing actions to support those in need. "Such moments leave a mark on the soul. They help you understand that if you can help, then do it without hesitation. It is safe to say that our volunteers work on a par with doctors. At the moment, the headquarters is functioning in a remote format, as Saratov residents have adapted better to the situation. However, in the first wave of the pandemic, from 30 to 150 applications were received daily from residents of the city, – said Andrey Olevsky, a student of the Faculty of KNiIT SSU. "The action has united people of different social status, faiths and views in one common cause – helping one's neighbor as never before."

Since March of this year, the activists' Headquarters has been working to support the population. Currently, 218 people, including students of Saratov University, are providing assistance to citizens. Another part of the guys are engaged in the work of the call center, where citizens can get all the necessary consultations.
