Dear friends!

New Year is approaching, a time of bold hopes and faith in the future. Traditionally, we celebrate this holiday with the people closest to us. And the sounds of the chimes from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad reminds of the unity of a huge country that has taken another symbolic step into the future.

The outgoing year has brought new challenges, successes, and victories. A milestone was the President's initiative to update the higher education system in our national interests, taking into account the historical experience and the needs of the economy. Very soon, the corresponding pilot project, taking place at six leading universities, will launch the renewal process in all universities of the country. The national higher education system will develop not along a trajectory drawn by someone, but along the path chosen by us, our country. Surely, by joining forces, we will be able not only to achieve all our goals, but also to consolidate Russia's global scientific and educational leadership for a long time.

The key to this is the largest achievements of Russian science. Due to the talent of our outstanding scientists, Russia has something to be proud of both in terms of creating domestic scientific equipment, and in terms of fundamental research, and in terms of advanced applied developments. And the upcoming 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences will be a great occasion to remember the contribution of our predecessors, thank those who are doing research now, and involve talented young people into this important field.

On the eve of the holiday, I would like to thank once again all those who teach, research, and organise, and provide this work. I wish you new achievements in the coming year! May your loved ones be healthy and happy! May your most cherished dreams come true!
