On June 21, the closing ceremony of the PROarts 2.0 regional forum took place in the assembly hall, Bldg. 10. For three days, the participants were engaged in singing, dancing, drama, and street-art. The young people attended master classes and trainings and shared their experience.
The head of the forum, Deputy Director of the SSU Student Club Alexander Yefimov, took the stage for a welcoming speech. He thanked all the participants, the team, the speakers, and the partners for their help in organising the project. ‘It is great that you have actively expressed yourself over these three days. The main moto that I repeat from the opening, “Creativity is an echo of nature. It lives in us and allows us to have fun.” I wish you all a special pleasure today.’
The participants who got acquainted with street art were the first to present their results. The stands appeared on the stage, which, rotating to the music, connected the canvases into a single drawing or into a collage.
To summarise the results of the Singing direction, Egor Naumov, a master degree student of the Institute of Chemistry, and Mikhail Makhortov, a student of the Institute of Physics, performed the song Fly. The members of another creative team performed IOWA’s 140 song.
The participants of the Drama direction demonstrated the fairy tale Turnip in a new way, having previously shown a performance and immersed the audience in the atmosphere of the upcoming production. The dancers were the last to perform.
‘The impressions from the closing ceremony were incredible. We were very tired, as we worked for three days in a row, but the results were worth it. The participants from different directions supported each other. The most important thing for me is good teamwork. A pleasant moment was our dance on stage to the final song, which was greatly applauded,’ a participant in drama master classes Valeria Krotkova said.
The head of the forum Alexander Yefimov took the stage again to award the participants of all directions. After receiving the certificates, all the event students took a photo and performed the final song Russia is Us.
In three days, the forum not only united the talented youth of the region, but also allowed them to expand their creative boundaries.
