There have been summed up the results of the quality assessment and selection of journals in the Russian Science Citation Index (the RSCI) on the Web of Science. Another SSU journal has been added to the RSCI (these university journals are already in the database) – Izvestia of Saratov University. New series. Series Physics. To note, the Physics Series has been indexed by Scopus since 2019.
To update the list of the RSCI, due to monitoring 219 journals have been reviewed which submitted applications for inclusion in the RSCI in 2020. For each individual journal on the RSCI and the RSCI core (Web of Science, Scopus, and RSCI), the selectors considered a complete set of more than 50 bibliometric indicators and statistical reports for the last 4 years presented in the analysis of the journal publication activity in the RSCI on the eLIBRARY portal. As a result of the analysis, 2 journals have been excluded from the existing RSCI list (803 journals). Having considered initiative statements, 87 publications have been included in the list. The new list of the RSCI, including 887 journals, is posted on the websites of the Russian Academy of Sciences (the research and publishing), NEL (eLIBRARY.RU), Lomonosov Moscow State University, HSE University, and the Association of State Research Centres.
To remind, Izvestia of the Saratov University. New series. Series Physics has become the 6th SSU journal included in the RSCI Web of Science. Earlier it included the following journals: Genres of speech, Izvestiya VUZ. Applied Nonlinear Dynamics, Izvestiya Saratov University. New series. Series Mathematics. Mechanics. Informatics, Povolzhskiy Journal of Ecology, and Modern Herpetology.
