According to the results of the examination, the Izvestiya of Saratov University. History. International Relations journal entered the DOAJ international database (the largest database of peer-reviewed open access scientific journals).
The Izvestiya of Saratov University. History. International Relations journal has existed as an independent publication since 2005. It is an open access journal and is published four times a year. The journal is intended for researchers, professors, and postgraduates. The editorial board of the journal publishes original general theoretical, methodological, debatable, and critical scientific articles containing new results in all areas of history, including issues of history, source studies and methods of historical research, international relations, and foreign policy. Scientific reviews and articles about leading historians are published on the pages of the journal.
The editor–in-chief is the Chair of the Department of National History and Historiography, Professor Victor Danilov. The editorial board includes leading historians from Russian universities, as well as from Germany, the USA, and France.
The journal is included in the list of peer-reviewed scientific journals where the main scientific results of PhD dissertations should be published.
Indexing in DOAJ means official international recognition of the journal as an open access publication, that is, it does not charge readers and does not restrict their access to the full-text content of the issues in any way.
The metadata of each issue of the journal and all articles, including the data on authors, are regularly transmitted to the DOAJ system, which increases the possibility of promoting the journal content in the scientific community and, as a result, scientometric indexes.
