SSU Researchers Received 3 Medals at Medicine Industry International Forum
SSU researchers presented their developments at the MedIn-2019 Forum in Saint-Petersburg, and they were highly-estimated by the jury.
Nearly 30 companies took part in the contest which develop, produce and supply modern medicine technologies, equipment, devices, and pharmaceutical drugs. The jury consisted of CEOs and leading specialists of Saint-Petersburg medicine organisations.
The delegation of Saratov University was headed by SSU President Leonid Yu. Kossovich. The SSU developments were presented in the Innovation IT-Decisions to Practice Health Care nomination. The research was done by the staff of the Clinical Decision Support System Laboratory (the Education and Research Institute of Nanostructures and Biosystems). All three projects became the prize winners.
The gold medals were given to the university for the unique clinical decision support system in reconstructive vertebral and pelvic complex surgery (it is based on the Planning-Modelling-Prognosis method) and for the AO/ASIF и AOSpine manual of fracture classification.
The SSU scientists received the silver medal for the SpinoMeter app to measure and calculate sagittal balance parameters of vertebral and pelvic complex.
It should be noted that this research is conducted by order of Russian Foundation for Advanced Research Projects.
The forum was held from 22 October to 24 October in Saint-Petersburg in the Expoforum Convention-and-Exhibition Centre. The Medicine Industry International Medicine and Pharmaceuticals Forum is the biggest in this sphere. The event focuses to develop of medicine innovation technology, produce quality and safe medicine makes and effective pharmaceutical drugs, and create health-saving environment.
The forum moderators try to show a big range of medicine output produced by Russian and oversees companies for health care and resort institutions. Due to the Medicine Industry Forum modern medicine innovation technologies and products become widely used by different medicine institutions.
