On June 14, Head of Saratov Administration V.N. Saraev signed a decree about annual youth award “Success”. Awardees are young people of 14 to 30 years of age who have outstanding achievements in sport, science, professional and public life.
Among eighteen young people who received the award are representatives of Saratov University. In particular, Associate Professor of the Department of Mathematical Physics and Numerical Analysis N.P. Bondarenko received the award for “Outstanding Achievements in Education and Science”. N.P. Bondarenko is a winner of numerous competitions and Olympiads; she won the silver medal in the Russian Code Cup and got other awards. Additionally, she trains SSU student teams which won multiple awards at Mathematics Olympiads.
Deputy Director for Social and Educational work of the Institute of Sport and Physical Training O.V. Ilyasova got the award for “Outstanding Achievements in Art and Culture”. O.V. Ilyasova successfully carries out artistic work; her talent has been recognized at various regional, national and international competitions. In 2015, she won two nominations in the international music festival «Golden stars rain» and XXIII All-Russia Festival “Russian Student Spring 2015”.
Six Saratov citizens won the award for outstanding achievements in sport. Institute of Sport and Physical Training students, winners of national and international championships, are among the awardees: Master of Sports in Biathlon Nikita Porshnev and Master of Sports in Kickboxing Vrezh Petrosyan.
The best volunteer of the year is a Master student of the Faculty of Law, Chair of Student and Graduate Student Union Georgy Bolotov who regularly organizes volunteer campaigns in our city and participates in federal events. For example, he participated in XXVII World Summer Univesiade, military parade dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Sevastopol victory, 2015 World Aquatics Championships, 2016 World Hockey Championship.
Other nominations include “Best Young Specialist of the Year”, “Outstanding Achievements in Engineering and Innovations”, “for Contribution to Patriotic Education of Young People”, “Special Contribution to City Public Life”.
Youth award “Success” was established in 2014. Every year 18 people living in the region receive the award.
