We are publishing a message to the residents of Saratov by Chair of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.

For many years, the area has been in decline. Earlier, the university staff and residents of the city asked Vyacheslav Volodin to help restore and improve the Botanic Garden.

He said that the project proposals had been prepared and it was planned to meet in August, where its members would discuss restoring and, in fact, creating anew the infrastructure of the Botanic Garden.

It is required to repair the fences of the territory and the greenhouses, create a modern irrigation and lightning system, as well as equip a gravel path network.

‘Dear friends, if you think that we have forgotten or missed some issues, it is not so. We have had to work for quite a long time to prepare a restoration project, and, in fact, to create anew the entire infrastructure, because there is none, in the Botanic Garden, Saratov State University. It is unacceptable when the real pearl of not only Saratov Region, but also entire Volga Region is in such neglect.

Now the university administration has prepared a proposal, which, I think, it will be possible to implement. Of course, it will be necessary to look for funds and control the implementation, but it is worth it. We are going to discuss the project soon. I think it will be possible to do this in August.’
