SSU teachers and graduate students completed their training in Dusseldorf
Saratov State University teachers and graduate students completed their training at the International Center of Education and Scientific Information (Dusseldorf) that took place on December, 1-10. Nine teachers and one graduate student completed the training.
Saratov group learnt about the German system of higher education. They attended lectures on the following topics: university managerial structure, special features of Bachelor and Master Studies, information socialization and education openness, new information technologies in education, education quality assessment, supplementary education system and further professional training. Each lecture finished with discussion of the most topical issues of higher education.
The participants specifically mentioned Prof. Oliver Platzek’s lectures “Quality Management System in German Universities” and “System of Continuous Further Trainings in German Universities”.
Summing up their experience, Russian and German colleagues decided that most issues like innovations implementation policy and strategies, methodological characteristics of graduation papers are international. Uniting the forces of educational communities of different countries could contribute to solving existing problems and difficulties.
Saratov delegation learnt the organizational structure and work features of libraries and student centers in University of Cologne, University of Bonn and University of Dusseldorf. They praised the system of public lectures in German universities. They established new professional contacts. The participants received international certificates of completion of further professional training.
