SSU Students Participate in Vladimir Potanin Foundation School

On July 4-7, the Moscow Region hosted the Annual Vladimir Potanin Foundation School. A master student of the Faculty of Philosophy Darya Glushko took part in the Project Section, while a postgraduate student of the Faculty of Philosophy Marina Yeliseyeva presented the university in the Individual Section in the Mass-Media Nomination.

Darya Glushko’s project, entitled Give Your Attention, is connected with rehabilitation of children from troubled families. That part of the contest is aimed at developing skills of social projecting of master students and professors, and its grant is estimated by 2 million rubles. Although, Darya’s team did not gain the victory, they decided to implement their project on their own. As she commented, she found the trainings and master-classes very useful. They were always supported by their tutors who marked the advantages and disadvantages of the project and helped improve it.

Marina Yeliseyeva participated in the School as a mass-media member for the second time. She was able to interview the moderator of the opening ceremony, a famous TV-host and actor Mikhail Shats. Also she took part in the discussion, entitled The Sports Power, where delivered their speeches the ideologist of One Ball Andrew Aris, Olympic champion Svetlana Zhurova, Three-Time Olympic champion Mariya Kiselyova, Director of the Creation Charitable Fund Yelena Smirnova, and a legendary Soviet football player N.P. Simonyan. Marina Yeliseyeva had prepared and defended the project consisting of a series of trainings and career guidance lessons to develop skills of the Production Association “Corpus” and engage youth in space industry in the region.
