A meeting with representatives of the Rubezh research-to-production company was held at Saratov State University. According to the mutual agreement, the Rubezh-SSU Student Design Office will be established. The document was signed by SSU Rector Aleksei Chumachenko and President of Rubezh Avrum Schprecher.
The participants of the meeting were SSU Vice-Rector for Research and Digital Development Aleksei Koronovskii, SSU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Igor Malinskii, Director of the Institute of Physics Sergei Venig, and Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of the Institute of Physics, Associate Professor of the Department of Open Systems Physics Asel Adilova.
Anticipating the signing ceremony of the agreement, Aleksei Chumachenko spoke about the students and scientists who are part of the university advanced scientific laboratories, the potential of the younger generation, and its involvement in the development of the domestic science.
‘Active and energetic young scientists work in our laboratories. However, their further development greatly depends on many factors. And the cooperation of the university with the Rubezh company is a wonderful opportunity to create the necessary environment. We will try to do everything possible to ensure that the agreement we have signed will work for many years and be useful for SSU, the company, our young scientists, and graduates,’ Aleksei Chumachenko said.
‘We know where to apply force and interest. We are interested in working with smart and talented students. We are ready to cooperate!’ said President of Rubezh Group of Companies LLC Avrum Schprecher.
As part of the signed agreement, the Rubezh-SSU Student Design Office will be established at the university. This unit will be aimed at improving the effectiveness of training students int microelectronics and improving the skills of the SSU students and staff in electronics and security systems. The plans also include the following specialised events – educational webinars, methodological seminars, master classes, competitions, and internships.
Saratov State University has been actively cooperating with the Rubezh company for several years in terms of personnel training and employment of graduates of the Institute of Physics.
Rubezh is the largest Russian developer and manufacturer that produces fire alarm systems, warning and evacuation systems, intelligent video surveillance, as well as software development for the construction of monitoring centres and situational management centres.
