SSU and Luhansk State Pedagogical University are building up close cooperation as part of the agreement signed in January. On March 27, the delegation of the LSPU arrived at Saratov University for the X Scientific and Educational Festival "Week of Pedagogical Education".

Luhansk University is represented by the Director of the Institute of Physical and Mathematical Education, Information and Service Technologies E.E. Gorbenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Physics and Methods of Teaching Physics A.G. Silcheva and 5th year students Svetlana Polonskaya and Polina Sergienko.

This year, for the first time, LSPU joined the student competition of professional skills "Step into the profession". The competition is an important part of the festival and is being held for the nineteenth time. A.G. Silcheva was preparing students to participate in the competition. Svetlana Polonskaya and Polina Sergienko are practicing teachers. They are teaching physics and mathematics at school for the second year.

Today, on March 28, SSU Rector Aleksei Chumachenko held a meeting with E.E. Gorbenko and A.G. Silcheva. Alexey Nikolaevich and Evgeny Evgenievich exchanged memorable gifts. E.E. Gorbenko expressed his joy at the arrival at Saratov University and the participation of LSPU in the pedagogical festival.

"Saratov University has been working in the field of teacher training for a long time, and we have the opportunity to help the strongest university of the Luhansk People's Republic with our best practices. Our universities have started exchanging experience, conducting joint consultations, lectures and scientific research. It is especially pleasant that this year LSPU students also take part in our traditional competition of pedagogical skills "Step into the profession", – said the rector.

A.N. Chumachenko offered assistance in the implementation of professional retraining and advanced training of LSPU specialists. The Rector also announced his readiness to exchange students and conduct internships.

Vice-Rector for Research and Digital Development Aleksei Koronovskii, Vice-Rector for Secondary Vocational Education and Social Work Olga Nesterova, Head of Priority Projects and Programmes Elena Yelina, and Deputy Head of the Office of Social Work Marina Kabanova joined the discussion of cooperation between the two universities at the meeting.

The day before, on March 27, the delegation met with the Vice-Rector for Secondary Vocational Education and Social Work O.E. Nesterova. "We are very pleased that the ties between the two universities are being born. I would very much like friendship to be born between our teachers and students," Olga Evgenievna said.

The colleagues discussed the experience of organizing pedagogical classes and the challenges facing the pedagogical community today. Evgeny Evgenievich noted that Lugansk University is the center of pedagogical education of the republic.

M.I. Kabanova told the guests about the SSU Pedagogical Class, whose work is being implemented with the support of the Priority 2030 program. O.E. Nesterova told about the development of pedagogical education at Saratov University, colleges of SSU, as well as about four departments of the university based on the GAL, LMI, FTL and Gymnasium No. 7.

The LSPU delegation toured the university campus. Director of the SSU History Museum Larisa Shipilova, conducted a tour of the campus for the guests, told the history of the creation of the university and highlighted interesting facts from the life of its employees and students.

The guests visited the Institute of Physics, the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics, visited the SSU laboratories, as well as the Museum of Physical Devices and Lecture Demonstrations.

"The university is admired. The architecture and what's inside are amazing – it's just amazing. I think that the cooperation of our universities should only increase the pace," Evgeny Evgenievich shared his impressions of SSU.

Recall that the festival "Week of Pedagogical Education" opened on Friday, March 24, with a scientific and methodological workshop for young teachers of the region. On the same day, the Intensive PRO School for Enrollees-Teachers started and the All-Russian research-to-practice conference entitled Education. Technologies. Quality. On Monday, March 27, the plenary session and the official grand opening of the festival were held, and five discussion sites were available. The stages of the "Step into the Profession" competition are held throughout the week. On the final day, March 31, there will be a counselor's gathering "I would go to counselors ...".
