It will be held on September 1 at Student Square in front of the Chernyshevsky statue at 10 a.m.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the flags of Russia, the region, and Saratov State University will be hoisted. SSU Rector Aleksei Chumachenko will address the young people and hand over a symbolic student ID and a record book to the first-year students.

The programme of Knowledge Day includes laying flowers at the Chernyshevsky statue and at the Memorial to the SSU and SSMU Staff and Students who died during the Great Patriotic War.

The teams of the SSU Student Club will delight students with songs, folk dances, as well as sports and ballroom performances. First-year students will watch a video about the student life of the university and the achievements of the youth of the region.
