SSU – One of 100 Best Russian Universities to Participate in Priority 2030 Programme
Saratov University was chosen to receive the basic part of the Priority 2030 grant – the largest programme of state support and development of universities in modern Russia. The protocol with the list of universities was published today on the website of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Russian Federation.
The minister Valerii Falkov announced the results of the contest for the programmes for the development of universities at a press conference in TASS. ‘The most careful decisions were made for each university. We did not assess current achievements or reputation and scientific background. We assessed the programme, its realism, the rector and the team, and, of course, correlated it with the national development goals of our country and the regional agenda,’ he explained the selection criteria.
Only 106 universities participated in the first stage, including 5 universities which have courses in various arts. The participating universities will receive a grant of 100 million rubles annually for 10 years to implement their development programmes approved by the expert commission of the Ministry of Education and Science.
