Saratov University has become one of the winners of the contest for educational institutions. As its result, we will found the Centre for Chief Data Officer (CDO Centre). The contest was held within the Data Management – Chief Data Officer in Government Agencies.
The contest results were announced by Head of the Centre for Digital Development (the Agency for Strategic Development) Vera N. Adayeva. SSU will get financing to establish the centre aimed to develop and implement re-training courses for employable population, managers and CDO manager teams in order to meet the requirements of the digital economy.
Saratov University will establish the CDO Centre and develop it in 2019-2021.
The data management projects will transform state management and regional social sphere. Public representatives and experts will discuss different topics at the centre as digital economy transformation is a difficult issue today, and the key stake holders – citizens, the government, and businessmen – will have to find to the common grounds.
Notably, it is the first time that SSU has won the contest connected with education digitalization. 200 managers from education institutions from the Saratov Region and the Volga Federal District will be taught within the project. Besides, school teachers from the Volga Federal District are also welcome to take the course. The lectures, master-classes, case-studies, and discussion clubs will be conducted by the university academic staff members, including those who participated in the Island 10-22 last summer.
