The global project objective is to create and develop teams of regional universities that will be able to improve personnel training programmes for technological development. 100 universities with the best team result in remote diagnostics have been included into the short list, and they are invited to participate in the summer educational workshop in the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology in July, 10 – July, 22. Saratov University became the best among other Saratov Region universities in the top-100 rating.
The competitive admission was done with the use of AI algorithms.
‘A few criteria were considered during the selection. The most important one was to correspond to structure and development section recommendations. We evaluated different indicators necessary for the ecosystem of technological development: active participation of students and academic staff members in the ecosystem of the National Technology Initiative, active usage of the NTI ecosystem programmes, and outer experts in the teams,’ commented CEO of University 20.35 Vasilii Tretyakov.
Besides, some additional indicators were taken into account, e.g. student rate growth in technological and IT-courses, innovations, income ratio from the research and development sphere and services connected with research, research-to-technology, and arts services and developments.
The SSU team headed by Rector Aleksei N. Chumachenko has such a high result due to the following indicators – the team list (which is better than 82% of universities), student rate growth in priority courses (which is better than 74% of universities), and the total income from research and development sphere (better than 70% of universities).
The universities-participants of the Island 10-22 will become the leaders of digital projects in education. Also they will take part in the EduNet, a new NTI community of educational technologies. After that the top-100 universities will get access to different programmes of the National Technological Initiative, including the Boiling Point, the software of University 20.35, etc.
