Admissions to state-funded studies for 13 categories of welfare beneficiaries
Saratov University Institute of Pre-University Education invites applicants to state-funded extra-mural studies for 2016-17 academic year. Education is free.
Saratov University is on the list of Russian Universities determined by the RF Ministry for Education and Science where preparatory education is state-funded.
SSU has 25 state-funded places for 2016/17 academic year. Students will prepare to Unified State Examination in 2017.
The courses are available for Russian Federation citizens with general secondary education who fall in the following categories:
- orphaned children and children left without parental care;
- disabled children, disabled persons of group I and II without restrictions towards studying at a higher education institution;
- citizens aged up to twenty years with a single parent who is a disabled person of group I, on condition of family average income less than minimum cost of living;
- citizens affected by Chernobyl NPP accident;
- children of military persons killed in the line of duty or because of wounds or diseases received in the line of duty;
- children of Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of the RF, and Full Cavaliers of the Order of Glory;
- children of officers of internal affairs, correctional system, federal fire-fighting services, narcotics control authorities, customs authorities killed in the line of duty;
- children of public prosecution officers killed in the line of duty;
- contract servicemen whose term of service is more than three years, reservists who completed their service on conscription and on contract and enter university on recommendation of their commanding officer;
- disabled servicemen, war veterans, combat veterans;
- citizens involved in nuclear weapon testing;
- servicemen who participated in flash points combat;
- citizens who carried out military service on contract for at least three years in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, other military forces, units and authorities, and dismissed from service for reasons provided by law.
Lessons will be given by qualified SSU teachers. Students could choose a course to prepare to Unified State Examination. Upon finishing the course students could take the exam on a common basis and apply to any university in Russia.
The courses are conducted in intra-mural form using distant education technologies. The starting date is November, 1. Nonresident students are provided with dormitory accommodation.
