Annual Prospective Students Day took place at SSU Students Square on October 4. High school students visited University educational units’ platforms and saw their presentations. They also enjoyed rich cultural program. The event was hosted by the Chair of Undergraduate and Graduate Student Council Georgy Bolotov and Faculty of Biology graduate Christina Kozina.
SSU Rector A.N. Chumachenko wished high schools students to successfully finish this academic year and explained why they would be making the right choice entering SSU. “Studying at SSU you could expect a successful future. I hope you would enter our friendly family”.
The hosts highlighted the fact that Saratov State University gives you confidence in the future. “Modern technology and science together with creative approach help to fulfill yourself and reach great professional success as our graduates always do”, believes the Chair of Undergraduate and Graduate Student Council Georgy Bolotov.
The guests visited platforms of every faculty, institute and college of the University, saw their presentations, talked to deans and directors, learned about educational programs, cultural and social life in the University. All visitors got the latest issue of “Saratov University” newspaper.
Various student unions and groups also participated in the event. There was a presentation of “SGUshenka” magazine (‘Sweet Milk’ magazine), its issues were distributed by lottery. Everyone could make a photo with SSU logo.
The concert program included dance shows and songs by Lidia Yarkina, Valentina Markelova, ‘Postscriptum’ band, Maksim Ivanov. The guests could participate in the flashmob organized by SGU.fm.
Prospective Student Day is an annual event organized by the Office of Student Educational Work and Undergraduate and Graduate Student Council where future students could see SSU educational units’ presentations and enjoy the concert program.
