On December 7, the graduation ceremony for graduates of the Young Managers School of Saratov Region of the sixth cohort was held at the Russia – My History museum. The governor of the region Roman Busargin, representatives of ministries, the university community, public figures, graduates and students of the school were present in the hall. This year, 100 young people from different districts of the region received additional professional training at the School. Saratov State University has traditionally been one of the sites for the implementation of the project.
Roman Busargin highly appreciated the work of the YMS and the projects prepared by the graduates. The Governor noted that 600 graduates have received diplomas in six years. ‘You have gained new experience in management tactics and decisions, interaction with government authorities. Many of your ideas from yesterday are being successfully implemented in the region. Your projects are successfully implemented in various areas and meet the challenges of the region. I hope that we will be able to implement new developments next year.’
The four best projects were presented at the closing ceremony of the School. A group of students who studied at SSU presented the ImPulse project, aimed at professional training o sign language of people with disabilities in Saratov Region as a mechanism of assistive technologies. The following people worked on the project: K.A. Uryanskaya, A.A. Kosenko, V.Y. Kostryukov, V.A. Akimov, O.V. Antonov. The scientific supervisor of the group is Associate Professor of the Department of Special Needs Education Pedagogy Lyudmila Myasnikova.
The authors of the idea aim to create a department of vocational education on the basis of Saratov State Conservatory in the course on sign language specialist for people with disabilities and their further employment in theatrical institutions in the region. The realization of this task will make it more accessible to visit theatrical cultural institutions for people with disabilities and will become one of the mechanisms for rehabilitation and habilitation of people with vision problems.
‘Our project is able to give a new impetus to solving the issues of socialization of people with disabilities and create comfortable conditions in a society where there is a place for everyone,’ the project developers explained.
The initiative of the young managers was supported by Deputy Minister of Culture of the region V.A. Berketov and Director of the Hope Sail TSAR E.S. Pyatkina.
‘More than 5,000 people with visual problems live in the region. Only two cultural institutions work with typhoon commentators – the Theatre of Young Spectators and the Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. And if you dig deeper, there is not a single professional typhoon commentator in the region, so it is difficult to overestimate the relevance of the project,’ the deputy minister said.
SSU Rector Alexei Chumachenko addressed the guests and participants of the ceremony. ‘6 years have passed unnoticed, and even the most stubborn skeptics will not be able to disagree that the School took place. It is important that the ideas of young, ambitious people are supported by government agencies and regional ministries. For us, universities, YNS has a special value. Together, we help new ideas find their embodiment in the life of the region, thereby making it successful and competitive.’
To recall, Saratov State University is one of the sites for the implementation of the Young Managers School of Saratov Region project.
