At Saratov State University, there was held a meeting of the SSU student brigades with the head of the central headquarters of the NGO RSB Dmitrii Paramonov. It was attended by SSU Rector Alexei Chumachenko, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Organisational Work, SSU, Anton Golovchenko, and Chair of the Saratov Region Youth Policy Committee Angelina Belovitskaya.
The young activists were welcomed by SSU Rector Alexei Chumachenko. ‘The RSB is an honest, lively movement where young people work and implement important social projects not to show off, but having their hearts set on it. This is one of those associations whose wards do not need motivation, who sincerely live out their ideas, and make others interested in them.’
Angelina Belovitskaya said the motivational words and wishes for new achievements. ‘Our student brigades train specialists who will not only be professionally competent, but also socially responsible, active, and initiative.’
Dmitrii Paramonov told the students about the programme of the 65th anniversary in the history of the RSB, which currently has about 60 events. The participants of the large-scale celebration will be the best representatives of the country student brigades, as well as veterans of the movement. One of the events of the year has been announced a federal competition for the best student brigade, which can be attended by the members of the Saratov State University Student Headquarters.
‘You are our main power. From generation to generation, our members share their knowledge and experience with their young colleagues, ensuring continuity and development of the movement. There is no other such youth organisation in the country, whose holiday is celebrated at such a high level and officially approved by the graduate of the movement, our President Vladimir Putin,’ Dmitrii Paramonov addressed the students.
During the meeting, the members of the student brigades presented their projects, which are successfully implemented in the region.
The participants were introduced to the basics of carpentry by the head of the Friendly Beavers culture-to-education project, a commander of the headquarters Arina Ogneva.
Elizaveta Komolova, Commissioner of the Saratov Regional Branch of the RSB, told the audience about the implementation of the video project PROLabour: Stories of the Great. The project was included in the list of seven student initiatives that had received grants from Rosmolodezh. These are a series of stories about Saratov Region and veterans of labour in the region. Its purpose is to introduce young people to national values and preserve historical memory.
One of the social projects that are especially significant for the country today is the Landing of Our People, aimed at supporting the families of the mobilised. Sofia Morozova, a member of the construction brigade, spoke how servicemen and their relatives were supported. Alibek Klassov, the commander of the headquarters of the SSMU student detachments, shared his experience in providing medical care to residents of the new Russian regions. Chair of the Control and Audit Commission Maria Chevtayeva commented on the implementation of the projects Excellent RSB and University Shifts focused on adaptation of schoolchildren from the PRD and PRL and learning about with educational opportunities. As part of the University Shifts programme, SSU hosted schoolchildren in September last year.
The event continued with a lively discussion, and the students asked questions to the commander of the movement. During the conversation, they once again came to the simple truths that the work of student teams is very diverse, it is not only about work, it is about the team, mutual assistance, respect, and traditions.
