On February 20, at the College of Radioelectronics, SSU, staff of the R&D enterprises “Contact” and “Almaz” met with students. The guests were met by the Vice-Rector for Secondary Professional Education and Social Work, SSU, Olga Nesterova, and the director of the college Oksana Breus.

Anticipating the communication of students with potential employers, Oksana Breus noted that the college graduates could make an excellent career at those enterprises. ‘The representatives of two significant enterprises of the city have come to SSU. Surely, this meeting will be interesting for both students and employers. Soon you will graduate – you will have to decide on your further career development. Perhaps during the meeting someone will finally choose their future profession and working place.’

The Production CEO of R&D enterprises “Contact” Georgii Sakhaji, a graduate of the Faculty of Physics, SSU, in 2007, told the students about the plant, career prospects, social guarantees, and benefits for young professionals.

Also, he commented why the students should be interested in the career prospects working at the plant. ‘We want to establish partnerships between the university and the real manufacturing sector. We offer you those working specialties that will really interest you. We really need active young people who want to earn money and do business that benefits the state.’

“Kontakt” is one of the largest enterprises of the electronic industry, which produces powerful vacuum electronic devices for television, space and satellite communications, radars, and accelerator technology.

Svetlana Sergeyeva, a chief HR-specialist of R&D Enterprise “Almaz”, spoke about the key production of the plant, the possibility of practical training, targeted training, and in-demand areas of training.

‘Today, we need new employees, and we will be happy to wait for you at the enterprise. Surely, you will offer a modern approach to work, share ideas of new technologies that we have not yet considered,’ Svetlana Sergeyeva hoped.

She reminded that every third week of April and October, the Week without Turnstiles takes place at the Almaz enterprise. During a detailed tour, the students learn about the plant production.

The Almaz enterprise is the largest research and production centre of ultrahigh-frequency radio electronics. The plant specializes in the development and serial production of electro-vacuum devices and products based on them for space and aircraft vehicles, land-based and sea-based systems.

The Head of the Department for Solid-State Microwave Products Installation, Almaz, Alexander Gorovoi said about the production and the products that the plant produces.

The meeting was attended by a chief HR-specialist of the Almaz plant Natalia Konoplina, the Head of the Personnel Management Department of R&D Enterprise “Kontakt” Elena Lyogkaya and a specialist of the enterprise Liana Kosheleva.

The students asked questions about employment, were interested in the working and production peculiarities. The most active participants received memorable gifts.
