On Friday, March 31, the 10th Research-to-Education Festival, the Week of Pedagogical Education ended at SSU. In the assembly hall of the main university building, a counselor's gathering was held entitled I Would Become a Counselor..., and the winners and participants of the Step into Profession contest were awarded.

At the beginning of the festive event, the director of the Institute of Physical and Mathematical Education, Information and Service Technologies of Luhansk State Pedagogical University, Evgenii Gorbenko, addressed the audience. Evgeny Evgenievich in his speech stressed the importance of educational and scientific cooperation between SSU and LSPU, the agreement on which was signed in January this year.

"Many thanks to our colleagues for the warm welcome. SSU is a wonderful university, where an excellent teaching staff works. We will return to Lugansk with a lot of warm impressions and pleasant emotions," E.E. Gorbenko said.

The finalists of the student video contest "The Summer of Counselors" were awarded at the leadership training camp – students who are interning in children's health camps. The competition was organized by the Department of Educational Methodology and the Department of Youth Policy for Students. Bright videos were published in the official group of Saratov University "VKontakte".

Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Organisational Work Anton Golovchenko was invited to the stage to summarize the results of the competition. Anton Vladimirovich addressed the participants with the words: "As teachers, you should understand that participation in competitions is very important: you get a new experience, make friends. Soon you will go to children's health camps, you will work with children again. I want to wish you the best and unforgettable summer."

Students of the Institute of History and International Relations received the third place in the video contest "Vozhat Summer". The second place was won by students of the Faculty of Philosophy. Students of the Institute of Arts are on the first line. Elizaveta Deyanova, a student of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Language Teaching Methods, won the individual competition. The audience award went to the student of the Faculty of Psychological, Pedagogical, and Special Education Alina Tumbakova.

The next block of the holiday was dedicated to the work of the Russian movement of children and youth "Movement of the First". It should be noted that the primary division of the organisation was opened in SSU.

The counselor's meeting was attended by children from the movement "Eaglets of Russia", studying at the Engineering Lyceum of Saratov. The guys presented the guests with a bright dance number, which caused a storm of applause from the audience.

The Chairman of the Council of the regional branch of the "Movement of the First" Anna Popova introduced the participants of the gathering to the history of the organization and its activities. Anna Sergeevna noted that the movement will need the help of counselors, as departments will also be opened on the basis of children's health camps.

"In pedagogy, the most important example is one's own. We are always ready to tell you how to be the best and strive for more," A.S. Popova noted.

Anna Sergeevna showed a video clip where a 13-year-old girl from the Dukhovnitsky district of the Saratov region, a member of the Zlata Amelina movement, reads her own patriotic poem together with the popular singer Shaman (Yaroslav Dronov) as part of the "Hero of my Country" campaign. In the video, they take turns reciting poetic lines about children's triangle letters for participants in a special military operation.

Deputy Director of the children's health center "Rovesnik" Sergei Gladkoshchyokov told about the interesting initiatives of the camp, in which several tens of thousands of children from all over the region will participate this summer. Sergey Gennadievich invited counselors and schoolchildren to visit the camp.

Assistant of the Department of Educational Methodology, expert of the All-Russian project "League of Counselors" Sergei Kotlyachkov conducted an exciting game for children and adults, during which everyone was able to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of camp life.

Associate Professor of the Department of Educational Methodology, responsible for organizing the summer counselor practice of SSU students Olga Kozlova told about why being a counselor is attractive: "When you interact with children, you get great moral satisfaction. More than 500 SSU students are interning in summer camps – I invite you to join this activity."

After the end of the counselors' meeting, the participants of the meeting summed up the results of the student pedagogical skills competition "Step into the profession – 2023". You can read more here.

The head of priority projects and programs, Elena Yelina, noted that the "Week of Pedagogical Education" was intense: "I am delighted with how the shift of our young teachers has grown. I really want you to realize yourself in the teaching profession. Our week is coming to an end, but the pedagogical projects of SSU will continue."

The "Week of Pedagogical Education" ended with the traditional ringing of the bell. All contestants from the stage were able to ring a memorable crystal bell, which the first winner of the "Step into the Profession" received 19 years ago.
