Last Meeting in 2023: Saratov Rectors’ Union Members Gathered at SSU

On October 26, a meeting of the Rectors’ Union of Saratov Region was held in Bldg. 10, SSU.

The meeting was attended by Federal Inspector for Saratov Region Lyudmila Borisova; Deputy Prime Minister of the region – Minister of Education of Saratov Region Mikhail Orlov; Head of the Drug Control Department, the Russian Ministry of Domestic Affairs for Saratov Region, police Lieutenant Colonel Natalia Krasnova, and CEO of the branch of the Knowledge Russian Society for Saratov region Alina Anisimova.

The meeting was opened by Chair of the Rectors’ Union Aleksei Chumachenko.

At first, they discussed the measures aimed at strengthening preventive work in the universities and colleges of the region to prevent the involvement of the under the legal age children in drug trafficking. Minister of Education of the region Mikhail Orlov and Head of the Drug Control Department, the Russian Ministry of Domestic Affairs for Saratov Region, police Lieutenant Colonel Natalia Krasnova commented on the situation with offenses related to drug trafficking in Saratov Region and about the offences for the crimes committed.

The second issue of the Council meeting was devoted to the cooperation of the Knowledge Russian Society with the universities in the region. CEO of the branch of Saratov Region Alina Anisimova spoke about the federal projects and events in Volga Federal District conducted by the Knowledge. Lecture Hall educational organisation.

As part of the third issue, the meeting participants reviewed the decisions taken at the meeting of the Council under the Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in Volga Federal District. The committee on academic affairs was established under the Rectors’ Union of Saratov region taking into account the relevance of organisational work with young people in the modern world. This decision was made to ensure the continuity of the sharing with intergenerational values and ties for the stable and progressive development of the Russian state.

The final issue on the agenda was to approve the candidates for the annual contest for the university staff of Saratov Region for the Height award.
