Saratov State University is to host the Teacher – Lesson – Pupil: Age-Old Traditions and New Meanings summer school for young teachers from August 7 to 10. Young teachers from all over Saratov Region is to take part in the annual forum. SSU leading teaching staff members and scientists will be some the mentors of the school.
The school will become a platform for developing professional relations in the regional pedagogical community, understanding modern pedagogical technologies, and applying them at work. The participants will learn about the peculiarities of teaching, social assistance, psychology at school and talk about the hobbies of modern schoolchildren, as well as the boundaries and challenges of digitalization.
The directions of the school will be devoted to the work of teachers of the new generation. On the opening day, the teachers will discuss the following topics: Pedagogical Councils for Young Teachers: Three Components of Professional Success and Inclusive Competence of Teachers.
During the summer intensive, its members will consider the current aspects of school education (from speech etiquette to digitalization) and share the best pedagogical practices. They will attend consultations, interactive workshops, seminars, and a Do We Know, Can We Do It, Do We Teach?, business game, as well as prepare group projects. At the end the school, the participants will receive certificates of advanced training of the Institute of Continuing Professional Education, SSU.
The Teacher – Lesson – Pupil: Age-Old Traditions and New Meanings summer school for young teachers is part of the University as a Centre for Continuing Education of Teachers in Terms of Social Practices of the 21st Century (Teachers in the Educational Paradigm) strategic project, supervised by Head of Priority Projects and Programmes Professor Elena Yelina. The project is included in the Priority 2030 programme of state support and development of universities.
To remind, this summer intensive is going to be held at SSU for the second time: last year, the participants created the concepts of the “school of the future” and studied the role of young teachers in the modern educational environment. The 2023 programme has been completely updated, which allows students to participate in the university project again, as well as gain new knowledge and professional development.
