On May 18, SSU hosted a meeting of the working group on the development of student sports as part of the interdepartmental commission of the Russian Ministry of Sports. The main topic of discussion is the inclusion and development of adaptive physical culture in the student environment.
Numerous guests from different regions of Russia were met by SSU Rector of SSU Aleksei Chumachenko, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Igor Malinskii, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Organisational Work Anton Golovchenko, and Acting Director of the Institute of Sports and Physical Education Irina Vodolagina. Experts from all over the country joined the meeting via video link.
The head of the working group, Rector of the Russian University of Sports "GTSOLIFK", President of the Russian Student Sports Union S.G. Seiranov thanked A.N. Chumachenko for organizing a large-scale event at the oldest university in the region - N.G. Chernyshevsky SSU.
A.N. Chumachenko in his welcoming speech stressed that meetings to discuss student sports are held in Saratov for the 6th time. In this regard, the Rector highly appreciated the role of the Regional Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy, as well as the activities of S.G. Seiranov in the implementation of this initiative.
"There are many different directions at Saratov University, including sports. Masters of sports of international class, Olympic medalists teach and study at SSU. These people perfectly understand why they need sports. We should also involve our physicists, chemists and students of other fields in mass sports," A.N. Chumachenko noted.
Alexey Nikolaevich said that such conferences do not go unnoticed. This is extremely important for the region, because these days Saratov hosts athletes of the highest level, the leadership of the Ministry of Sports of Russia and the Russian Student Sports Union.
Deputy Director of the Department of Physical Culture and Mass Sports of the Ministry of Sports of Russia I.V. Praskanova addressed the participants via video link.
Irina Vasilyevna noted the high concentration of events in student sports: "The issues that are being discussed today must necessarily be included in the physical sports program and the unified calendar plan of the Ministry. I hope that today we will celebrate not only the positive experience, but also the existing problems, which will definitely help us in the development of student sports."
S.G. Seiranov said that the meeting of the working group is being held for the second time. It consists of 33 people – representatives of federal and regional authorities, public organizations. Following the results of the first meeting, proposals on the draft of a new edition of the intersectoral program for the development of student sports were approved.
"In a single calendar plan, we have only 2 festivals on adaptive physical culture for people with disabilities and disabilities. The availability of sports doctors is also quite low. Both the admission of athletes and the conduct of competitions depend on this," Sergey Germanovich said.
The topics for further discussion were the inclusive development of student sports and monitoring of its development among people with disabilities and disabilities. The last item on the agenda is student sports in branch educational organizations and its medical support.
The presentations were made by specialists in industry areas, including the head of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Adaptive Physical Culture S.P. Evseev, President of the All-Russian Federation of Sports of Persons with Musculoskeletal system A.A. Strokin, Professor of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Sports Disciplines of Orenburg State Pedagogical University E.M. Golikova, Head of the Department of Physical Culture of Orenburg State Medical University University of M.A. Ermakova, Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Health of Volgograd State Medical University V.B. Mandrikov and others.
After the meeting of the working group, the participants went to the VI All-Russian Scientific and Practical conference "Topical issues of physical education of youth and student sports", which was also held at SSU.
