On February 6, the Institute of Chemistry hosted the opening of an updated classroom, which was renovated and filled with the latest equipment. The education-to-practice environment for students was modernised thanks to the long-term cooperation between SSU and Saratovorgsintez LLC.

At the opening event, the red ribbon was solemnly cut by SSU Rector Aleksei Chumachenko and the CEO of Saratovorgsintez LLC Vladimir Shulyndin. After them, the Director of the Institute of Chemistry Irina Goryacheva, teaching staff members and students entered the renovated classroom.

Aleksei Chumachenko thanked Vladimir Shulyndin for the fruitful and successful implementation of joint projects. ‘Now a practice-oriented approach to teaching students is in demand more than ever. Students start working at enterprises immediately after graduation. It is important for us to note that Saratovorgsintez is actively involved in education and the preparation of research papers. The company specialists work together with our scientists to solve urgent scientific problems. In turn, Saratov State University conducts re-training of employees of the enterprise. I would like to note that the renovation and equipping of the classroom is a wonderful undertaking of our partners, which is extremely important for the university.’

Vladimir Shulyndin, CEO of Saratovorgsintez LLC, expressed his opinion that students would have more educational opportunities. ‘Here you will get learn about technological process and our plant production. The new training complex meets the latest standards. We invite students to take an internship at our company, where you will become even closer to our work. I hope that many of you will become my colleagues – employees of Saratovorgsintez.’

In response, the students thanked the rector and the CEO for the updated classroom and noted that they would better acquire the necessary professional skills due to comfortable learning conditions.

The classroom is intended for students taking courses in chemical technology, technosphere safety, and chemistry. Young people will gain valuable experience during lectures and seminars.

The computer training complex will allow students to get acquainted with the production process of Saratovorgsintez LLC. They will be able to broaden their knowledge about working technological peculiarities both on a digital production scheme and on a 3D model of the plant. Modern and high-quality laboratory equipment is also designed for the study of catalysts associated with the production of nitrile acrylic acid, the main products of the enterprise.

The equipped classroom expands the possibilities for re-training the plant personnel and contributes to the growth of the personnel potential of the enterprise itself.

The partnership relations of Saratov State University with PJSC Lukoil and its subsidiary Saratovorgsintez LLC have deep historical roots and last for more than 60 years. The current stage of cooperation is implemented in education, production, and research.
