SSU Holds Strong Position in Top-100 Russian Universities

According to the eleventh annual ranking of the best Russian universities, published by the RAEX agency, Saratov University has again entered the top 100 and has become the only university in the region that consistently holds its positions in it.

SSU has been participating in this ranking for eleven years. Now Saratov University is in the 81st place (2.1463), just like a year ago. In 2020, SSU held the 74th position of the ranking, in 2019 –the 84th. According to the analysts, Saratov University ranked the 20th in biology, the 18th in chemistry, and the 12th in geography in the subject ranking. In terms of pedagogical education, Saratov University holds the 16th place. The university demonstrates the highest indicators, according to the Research indicator.

In the ranking, statistical indicators are used, as well as the results of surveys of over 85 thousand respondents – representatives of academic and research communities, students, and graduates, employers.

Also, quality education conditions, the demand for graduates, and the research indicator were taken into account. Despite the coronavirus restrictions, most indicators of international integration of Russian universities increased last year. The proportion of full-time foreign students in universities from the top 100 reached the level of 12%, and the proportion of students enrolled in two-degree programs – 1.6%.

In total, the RAEX agency's annual ranking of one hundred best universities includes universities from 31 Russian regions. The top five positions of the ranking are occupied by MSU, MIPT, St. Petersburg State University, MEPhI, and the Higher School of Economics.
