Summer season 2015 in sports and health camp “Chardym” opened on July, 2. Official ceremony was attended by Vice-rector for secondary professional education and social work O.E. Nesterova and Vice-rector for сampus development and maintenance Yu.I. Vasiliev.
Head of the Office of Social Work N.P. Sergeeva, camp director V.I. Spiridonov and 1st session manager T.V. Karsakova met the honoured guests. The guests were greeted by the ancient tribe leaders in “pure Chardym language” simultaneously interpreted into Russian. Ekaterina Stazaeva gave a master class in speaking Chardym language, then the tribe leader Aleksei Almaev explained the rules of word-making.
Then the guests met an elder performed by Evgeni Strepetov who asked them what time it was. O.E. Nesterova easily solved the task. Judging by the sun and shades she said it was almost midday. During the excursion around the island the guest delegation had to save the tribe from a Chardymness moster played by Rustam Akhmedkhanov.
This session teams have very creative names “Crudes family”, “Mammoths”, “Chardymopithecus”. The session was declared open and flags flew up with the sounds of the national anthem.
Vice-rector for secondary professional education and social work O.E. Nesterova congratulated first session campers on the opening of the 61st season at “Chardym”. “I wish this camp stays the place of meetings, hopes and friendship, the island where dreams come true, where people learn, rest and get healthy”.
Second part of the ceremony was more artistic. It opened with “Chardym” anthem performed by jazz musician, Faculty of Physics and Mathematics graduate S.V. Tkachev.
Youth leaders performed a Chardym tribal dance. Institute of Sport and Physical Training students Alena Bataeva and Ekaterina Kazakova performed an acrobatic show. “Russian Student Spring -2015” festival winner Olga iliasova sang a song “Chardym Labyrinth”.
Students also played volleyball, played darts, swam. After the official ceremony life on the island simply carried on: sportsmen continued their trainings, biologists studied local flora, and young scientists discussed their plans for a week.
As Aleksey Akmaev said, his team – very positive and responsible – successfully completed the challenge of the ceremony. “I hope our ideas will work. I want our students to stay active for the whole session”.
