American actor, sportsman, martial arts guru Steven Seagal visited Saratov State University.

The honoured guest visited the University History Museum and had a tour around its exhibition. Museum director G.N. Bous who gave the tour focused specifically on University members that took part in the Great Patriotic War. Steven Seagal made a record in SSU Honored Guests Book.

The actor met with students and staff at Bldg. X. In his welcoming speech, SSU President L.Yu. Kossovich said this visit was a very special event for SSU.

At the beginning of the meeting, Steven Seagal talked about the most important things in his life: “Two thinks played a huge role in my life – music and martial arts. Martial Arts teach you to be stronger, but they also help you clear your inner world. I practiced one technique for 8 hours a day and made good results. I advise you to focus on one discipline and succeed there making the world better!”

At the meeting, anyone could ask questions. Students and staff were interested in how Steven Seagal keeps fit, what he felt taking part in real fights, which Russian cities he liked best, if he knows Russian well, if he wants to be casted in Russian cinema. Answering a philosophical question, Steven Seagal said the most important thing in life for him is sympathy.
