A special meteorological satellite “Meteor-M 2” was sent into space from Baikonur on July 8, 2014. It has an earth-reflected radiation indicator IKOR-M designed and built in SSU under the supervision of Prof. Skliarov, the Department of Meteorology and Climatology chair (27.01.1931 – 19.06.2014).

Successful work of the device is another evidence of Prof. Skliarov’s contribution to Russian science and a tribute to his memory.
