2023 Admissions Started at Saratov State University

The 2023 admissions have begun at Saratov State University. Seven institutes, thirteen faculties, two colleges, and Balashov Institute (branch), SSU, have opened their doors to a new generation of students.

On June 20, the admissions offices started working in all educational units of the university, ready to provide all the necessary information and help fill in the admission documents correctly.

The staff of the Central Admissions Office are ready to answer the questions that enrollees and their parents are concerned.  The office is located in the Room 100B, Bldg. 9. Contact the CAO by phone: 51-92-26, 26-03-04.

The admissions offices of educational units work from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays, on Saturday – from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The enrollees forms are presented on the SSU official website in the Admissions section.

How to submit documents

The admission documents must be submitted via the Admission to University Online superservice (EPSS – Public Services) or by mail. The online platform makes it possible to submit documents without personal visits to admissions offices, paper applications, and queues, and it simplifies and optimises the admissions. There are three ways to register a personal account on the Public Services, which are described in detail on the official page of the portal.

Deadlines for documents submission

Enrollees for full-time, part-time, and off-site bachelor and specialist courses, where additional entrance tests of creative or professional orientation are provided (the Institute of Philology and Journalism, the Institute of Arts, and the Institute of Physical Training and Sports), can submit documents until July 7.

The documents from enrolles who enter according to the results of the exams conducted by the university independently are accepted for all courses without exception until July 10. These entrance tests are conducted for persons with special rights, as well as graduates of colleges according to the specified list of exams.

For those entering the university for state-funded courses and only according to the results of the Unified State Exams, the documents can be submitted till July 25. For tuition fees full-time, part-time, and off-site courses, the admissions offices accept the documents from enrollees only based on the results of the Unified State Exams until August 19.

Enrollees for state-funded master's degree courses must submit the documents by August 10, for tuition fees ones – by August 21.

At Geology College and the College of Radioelectronics, the admissions for full-time courses will last until August 15, for tuition fees ones – until September 10. Choose the course

You can get acquainted with the courses of higher education training and secondary vocational education on the 2023 Admissions.

For the third year in a row, you can enter a new Faculty of Fundamental Medicine and Medical Technologies. Its enrolees, if they are high school graduates, enter according to the results of the Unified State Exams: 30.05.01 Medical Biochemistry – biology/mathematics (profile level), chemistry, and the Russian language; 30.05.02 Medical Biophysics – mathematics (profile level)/biology, physics, and the Russian language; 30.05.03 Medical Cybernetics – physics/biology, mathematics (profile level), and the Russian language.

Since this year, high school graduates from Belgorod Region have been included in the list approved by the order of the Russian Ministry of Education No. 245 dated April 7, 2023. According to it, they have the right to take entrance tests in general subjects at oral exams or, if desired, in writing (test), or use the results of the Unified State Exams if they have them.

Heroes of the Russian Federation, persons awarded three Orders of Courage, children of military personnel, and employees participating (having participated) in a special military operation in the People's Republic of Donetsk, the People's Republic of Luhansk, and Ukraine, are enrolled in bachelor and specialist courses in places according to the special state-funded quota as part of the admissions.

At the same time, Heroes of the Russian Federation, persons awarded three Orders of Courage, children of military personnel and employees who died, were injured or ill, are admitted to SSU without entrance tests (except for the mandatory courses with additional entrance tests of creative and (or) professional orientation). Children of active military personnel and employees enter the university according to the results of entrance tests in general subjects conducted by the university independently, and (or) using the results of the Unified State Exams.

Persons who have passed the secondary general education exams the People's Republic of Donetsk, the People's Republic of Luhansk, Zaporozhye Region, and Kherson Region before the day of their accession into to the Russian Federation, as well as persons who have passed the secondary general education exams with the features provided for in part 1 of Article 5 of Federal Law No. 19-The Federal Law has the right to take entrance examinations in general education subjects in writing at the university (test). The Russian language, literature, history, social studies, and the entrance test in the Russian language on the basis of vocational education are organised as an oral exam at the request of enrollees, and the general entrance test in social studies can be replaced by an entrance test in a foreign language or geography, regardless of the subjects established for these courses by the list entrance tests for admission to bachelor and specialist courses.
