Experts from the Social Centre arrived at Saratov State University as part of the Priority 2030 programme of the Russian Ministry of Higher Education and Science. The main purpose of the visit is to assess the progress of the programme, the work of the project team and outline prospects for further development of the key areas.
The centre team includes Chair of the Department of Histology, Cytology, and Embryology, the Institute of Medicine, RUDN, Associate Professor of the Department of Histology, Cytology, and Embryology, Doctor of Medical Sciences Timur Fatkhudinov; Director of the Project Office, Derzhavin Tambov State University, a lawyer Marina Medvedeva; Senior Researcher, Head of the Laboratory of Structural Analysis and Engineering of Membrane Systems, Associate Professor of the Department of Biophysicists, the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (PhD) Ivan Gushchin.
At first, the delegation got acquainted with Rector Aleksei Chumachenko and the vice-rectors of Saratov State University. The meeting took place in the Bldg. 10.
The guests were addressed by SSU Rector Aleksei Chumachenko. ‘I have special memories associated with each university that you represent. We consider you as colleagues. And due to this cooperation, you and our research teams will find something new for themselves and synchronise successfully.’
‘Saratov University is the thirteenth educational institution that I have attended with an expert session. The issues faced by universities which are implementing the programme are similar. Our experts will make a report on this topic. Surely, you will be able to learn a lot of useful things from it for yourself. Our meeting is based on the strategy of planning effective methods for successful work on the project,’ Timur Fatkhudinov commented.
According to Marina Medvedeva, the purpose of their visit is to work together on the implementation of the university programme. ‘We did not come to check, but to hear your ideas on the transformation of the project and its successful implementation,’ she explained.
‘It is important for us to learn all areas of your project, to evaluate research from every angle. We are here to organize issue-oriented communication,’ Ivan Gushchin added.
‘We are working around the clock, so a fresh look at many points is important for us. It is for this purpose that project sessions are held. We must clearly understand what stage we are at and whether we are moving in the right direction. Today, people have gathered here who have not only strategic projects on their shoulders, but also everyday tasks for the smooth functioning of the university. We are proud of our university and hope to make you love it,’ answering the questions from the experts, Head of Priority Projects and Programmes Elena Yelina said.
The experts will check the progress of the programme and the work of the project teams next three days. It is planned to visit scientific laboratories and centres established to meet the objectives of the SSU strategic projects, to present the university development programme. The experts the Social Centre Federal State Institution are to speak on the Priority 2030 strategic academic leadership programme, as well as discuss the results of the working groups.
The work of the expert group of the Social Centre as part of the Priority 2030 programme will last at Saratov State University until June 16.
