On April 24, in Bldg. 10, SSU, a graduation ceremony was held for employees of Norilsk Sputnik LLC who had done the professional retraining in accounting in the Institute of Continuing Professional Education.
The joint educational project of Norilsk Sputnik and SSU was developed for employees of the IT company in order to adapt them to digital transformation of the economy. At the same time, accounting is the main mechanism of the economy, which combines theory and practice.
The task of the training was to horizontally expand the professional competence of the employees of Norilsk Nickel Sputnik. This will allow them to solve even the most difficult business tasks in the modern economic reality. In addition, due to the course, its students will not only expand their knowledge, but also become motivated to develop, while maintaining their relevance and competitiveness.
SSU Rector Aleksei Chumachenko congratulated the employees of Nornickel Sputnik LLC that the training had been completed, wished success at work, and also spoke about changes in the Russian education.
‘Now everybody is discussing the issues of transformation of the Russian education system. Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to return to the previous education system, but with some peculiarity – to take the best and most useful from the existing system. And this is the attitude to science and the attention of employers to it. So, our university cooperates with a large number of companies and trains graduates for them. It is important to note that employers themselves come to us for open days and tell us about the conditions of employment, inviting applicants and students to work,’ Aleksei Chumachenko said.
The audience was shown a video about the Saratov student tradition, the potential, prospects and vectors of development of the region, as well as about the role of SSU in it.
Kapitalina Zakharinskaya, the regional CEO of Norilsk Satellite LLC in Saratov, also addressed the participants of the event. ‘I am very glad that this day has come, and I want to congratulate you not only on my own behalf, but also on behalf of the whole company, that you have completed training. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that you have received a diploma of professional retraining as accountants. And this important document confirms your knowledge. We, on behalf of the company, expect that this knowledge will be applied.’
She expressed gratitude to Saratov State University and Norilsk Sputnik LLC that this union made it possible to complete the training, despite all the challenges of the time.
Director of the Institute of Continuing Professional Education Yurii Golub congratulated the graduates. ‘When we started this project, we relied on cooperation and mutual support. Everything has worked out simply because those employees and teachers who were involved in the educational process treated their work with great responsibility and understanding. But even more importantly, we have received unique students – in terms of their personal motivation. They really wanted and tried. Their desire, supported by the dream of obtaining a new qualification, and the efforts of the teachers led us to success,’ he concluded.
Head of the Office of Accounting and Taxes of the company Elena Kondaurova presented certificates of honour to the most diligent students of the course.

At the end of the event, a general photo was taken of the graduates of the course with the administration of Saratov State University and employees of Norilsk Sputnik LLC.
