On March 24, the Institute of Chemistry hosted the opening of a youth research office created within the framework of the Priority 2030 program. The office is designed to help young scientists to actively engage in science, and students to join scientific research.

Students of the Institute of Chemistry and young scientists gathered in the Lower Auditorium of the I building of SSU.

"Today we have a joyful event, to which we have been going for almost nine months. It is symbolic that we are holding the opening of the youth research office in the Lower Auditorium of the I Building, in a place that has been prayed for by many generations of researchers. We take the traditions and high standard established here and spread them further," said the director of the Institute, Head of the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry Irina Goryacheva at the solemn event.

The Youth research office conducts research in various areas: nanomaterials, analytical systems, biomedicine, quantum dots and others. These areas have been developing at the university for more than ten years and have been included in the work implemented with the support of the Priority 2030 program.

The Laboratory of Nanomaterials for analytical Systems solves the problems of developing methods for diagnosing diseases and monitoring health status. The laboratory carries out research on five grants of the RNF. The Youth Research Office, located in a separate room from the laboratory, is a convenient platform for coworking students and young scientists.

I.Y. Goryacheva stressed that to become a researcher, you need to have the appropriate qualifications, flexible skills and a broad outlook. A new office opens up such opportunities for young scientists. "The idea that leaders are becoming is being asserted here." The opening of the youth research office was held as part of the development of the youth policy of the Priority 2030 program. "We believe that thanks to the new office we will be able to strengthen our leadership and develop not only the strategic project "Chemistry and New Materials", but also to help young scientists of our university," Irina Yurievna noted.

Deputy Head of the Office of Priority Projects and Programs, Dean of the Faculty of Economics Elena Ogurtsova congratulated colleagues on the opening of a new site and wished success in research. "It is important that there be a place that unites people infected with the same goal, the same tasks. The priority is not space, but young people who can get additional opportunities due to the fact that this space will be mastered. To have such grant support means to receive recognition from the scientific community," Elena Vyacheslavovna said.

The head of the Office of Research Olga Moskalenko reminded about the grant support of young scientists and that students can also be part of research teams and be involved in the scientific process. Olga Igorevna noted that the youth research office is an opportunity to stay at the university, continue her scientific career and participate in grant projects.

Happy birthday to the research office of the Institute of Chemistry was congratulated by the program director of the center SSU Boiling Point, associate Professor of the Department of Medical Physics Andrei Rytik. Andrey Petrovich drew attention to the fact that students have another opportunity to reveal their talents: "Such infrastructure solutions are the very entry point to the expert community where you can create your own project and find a dream job." A.P. Rytik expressed hope for cooperation between the youth research office and the Boiling Point.

Senior researcher of the Remote Controlled Theranostic Systems Lab, Associate Professor of the Department of Materials Sciences, Technologies, and Quality Management Maria Lomova pointed out the need to create such interdisciplinary platforms.

Igor Krutikhin, Deputy Director of on Information Support of the SSU Regional Scientific Library, stressed that the Priority 2030 program is multifaceted and allows scientists from different departments to interact. Igor Valerievich invited students and researchers to use the wealth of information resources that the library can open access to.
