On December 26, Rector of Saratov University Aleksei Chumachenko and Chair of the Commission on Juvenile Affairs and Protection of their Rights under the Government of Saratov Region Julia Vasilyeva signed a cooperation agreement.
Julia Vasilyeva and Legal Assistant of the Commission on Juvenile Affairs and Protection of Their Rights Anastasia Boroda told Rector of Saratov University Aleksei Chumachenko, Vice-Rector for Secondary Vocational Education and Social Work Olga Nesterova and Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogical and Special Needs Education Tatyana Firsova about the first experience of the students of the faculty practice in commissions on juvenile affairs of the region.
The subject of the agreement was interaction and cooperation in the development of higher education and research activities of the parties. Saratov University is represented in the agreement by the structural units of the SSU Psychological Support Centre, the Faculty of Pedagogical and Special Needs Education, and the Faculty of Psychology.
SSU will assist the commission in attracting students to work in the regional emergency response group, conduct psychological consultations, review the methodological materials of the commission, organize risk assessment activities, prevention and correction of aggressive behaviour of students, form interpersonal interaction skills.
The Commission will provide an opportunity for practical training and research work to students taking the courses in psychology and psychological and pedagogical education. Thus, the commission will contribute to the formation of professional competence of students in strengthening the psychological well-being and health of students. In addition, students will participate in volunteer activities on the basis of bodies and institutions of the system of prevention of neglect and minors under the guidance of a competent specialist.
Cooperation between the university and the commission also involves joint participation in the work of methodological associations, scientific seminars, conferences, psychological consultations.
