The results of the contest "The best volunteer "Abilimpics" – 2020 of the Saratov region", held in a remote format from September 25 to October 23, were summed up. The Saratov National Research State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky became the regional venue for its holding.

The volunteers who have sent applications, portfolios and presentations for the competition constantly participate in socially significant events in Saratov, ensure the holding of inclusive contests and exhibitions, help people with disabilities and the disabled.

The main objective of the competition was to identify and promote the best inclusive volunteer practices. A prerequisite for the contestants was the passage of training according to the "Abilimpix" method. Only after that, volunteers can provide qualified assistance. Special training is especially important when accompanying people with individual health characteristics.

The competition commission included representatives of public organizations, educational institutions and authorities of Saratov and the region. They reviewed the contestants' materials and distributed the prizes. As a result, the absolute winners were students of the Faculty of Psychological, Pedagogical and Special Education of SSU. By the decision of the jury, the 1st place was awarded to Irina Nikitina, the 2nd place was taken by Alina Valeeva, Anastasia Ryzhova was on the 3rd.

The Department of Social Work of SSU noted that the victory of female students is the result of many years of work. The success of the Saratov University volunteers underlines the importance of the university's social work aimed at supporting people with disabilities and disabilities.
