On 10 December the Russian – My History Park hosted the graduation ceremony of the 2nd batch of the Young Manager School (YMS). Traditionally, one of the education platforms became Saratov University.
The event was attended by Governor of the Saratov Region Valerii V. Radayev, members of the region government, deputies of the region Duma, heads of region cities and districts, representatives of public organisations, and education institutions. Golub, his Deputy Director Gennadii A. Tashpekov, and the school teachers.
‘The Young Manager School is focused on professional training of politically and economically literate young people who understand the state of affairs in the country, the region, and its districts. The current issues can be solved only by using new manager methods, including team, project, and complex work. Due to the events of the school we have got acquainted with many active, smart, and ambitious young people from the Saratov Region,’ marked the ceremony host, a 1st-batch school graduate Regina Yudina.
The audience was shown the videos where the 1st-batch graduates spoke about their career after the school.
Then the 2nd-batch graduates presented their projects. The first one titled the Branding Balakovo as A Promoting Tool had been demonstrated at the Russian Civic Society: From Control to Participation Civic Forum of the Saratov Region. The forum had been organised by the Civic Chamber of the Saratov Region.
The next project called the Ways to Set Ecology Thinking of Children and Youth of the Saratov Region had been developed by two groups of the school students as their ideas complemented each other. As a result, they had found a complex approach to solve that up-to-date issue.
The Governor and the region ministers paid attention to the following projects – the Information Campaign to Build Tolerance towards People with Special Needs and the Ways to Embed the #saratovknows Complex Information System for Tourists and Saratov Citizens. The latter had also been developed by two groups.
Valerii Radayev highly evaluated all the projects targeted at the innovation development of education, health care system, road infrastructure, ecology, and the promotion of tourism in the Saratov Region.
He underlined that the school project had started a year ago, and it had brought about great results.
‘Due to the state policy and the means of social mobility aimed to form the manager pool young people have fallen in line, they have realised that they are demanded, they have become eager to show what they can do, and they have become ready to build Russia of the future being needed in their own region. And due the Young manager School youth get such an impulse and use it to implement their ideas. The school has been gaining the reputation having been inserted into the region labour pool system. And the next step is to develop the projects designed for people. Your work is completely consistent with the federal policy and national projects. It means that all of you take part in it, and you are a real force of the All-Russia movement,’ commented the Governor.
Valerrii Radayev expressed his gratitude to the school graduates for their ideas, activism, personal involvement, and readiness to be useful for other region citizens.
‘Our goal is to fulfil the potential and the advantages of our region and find the way to show its attractions and capabilities. It is important that all your projects are intended for people, therefore, it is significant to share your ideas and implement them.’
Besides, he distinguished the Ways to Embed the #saratovknows Complex Information System for Tourists and Saratov Citizens project, which had been developed in Saratov University. The Governor promised that the ministries and the School partners would help the project authors to implement them.
In addition, the ministers, heads of municipal structures, and rectors of Saratov universities expressed their opinion on the projects as well.
‘We have had an opportunity to listen to all the projects. There are many projects which goal is to enlighten the society, and two out of the four projects we have found out today also belong to that category. We can be taught a lot, and it is extremely important. We understand that not all the projects can be implemented immediately. But nothing can improve the situation if the projects like these do not appear. Therefore, the enlightenment aspect is the most significant one, from my point of view. Besides, there are lots of projects connected with digitalisation. As a result, you have found the issues relevant for the region, and this fact characterises all the projects presented today,’ noted SSU Rector Aleksei Chumachenko.
Director of the Povolzhsky Institute of Management named after P.A. Stolypin Victor L. Cheplyayev spoke how urgent it was to continue implementing the projects.
‘We cannot only determine the up-to-date issues but identify the resources, and this is the peculiarity of current projects in comparison with the ideas of the 1st-batch school graduates. The projects need to be supported not only by the government bodies and the experts but the businessmen – they must invest in the projects. And, now I am addressing the graduates, it is a very important manager skill to find the sponsors.’
100 school graduates received the diplomas. Moreover, the Governor gave letters of appreciation to the representatives of Saratov universities which had hosted the School classes. Thus, the following SSU members of staff received them – Associate Professor of the SSU Department of Sport Disciplines Irina Yu. Vodolagina, Deputy Director of the Institute of Continuing Professional Education Gennadii A. Tashpekov, and Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Tatyana V. Temyakova.
