SGUshchyonka Editorial Board Won 3 Prizes at Youth Journalism Festival

Authors of the SGUshchyonka student magazine became the winners of the All-Russia Youth Journalism Festival titled the TIME CODE-2019. The awarding ceremony took place on National Unity Day Eve in the Youth Palace in Yekaterinburg.

The magazine gained a few victories there. The online magazine became the best on the Official Mass-Media Account in Social Networks nomination. A 3rd-year student of the Institute of Philology and Journalism Sofia Sokolova received the 1st prize for her article titled Beating Your Wife Is a Sign of Love in the Multimedia Story nomination. The 2nd position in that nomination was taken by SSU graduates, ex-editors of the SGUshchyonka Alexandra Dyakova and Elena Krivitksaya together with a master degree student of the Institute of Philology and Journalism Alexandra Serebryakova (the article was titled 8 Strange Songs with Broken Scientific Laws).

The media project editorial board was represented in the finals by Communications Officer of the magazine, a 3rd-year student of the Faculty of Nano- and Biomedical Technologies Sofia Baranova and Assistant of Content-Editor of the online magazine, a 3rd-year student of the Institute of Philology and Journalism Alexandra Rogozhina. The SGUshchyonka correspondents listened to the reviews of the contest articles and attended the master-classes of the lecturers and the jury members. Thus, they learnt how to make more people get interested into your blog, set the target, and find new ideas for Instagram stories and posts at the Blog: More Likely to Be Alive Than Dead, or How to Stop Keep Your Blog for Show master-class conducted by Ekaterina Chemezova.

Irina Shikhman, the author and the host of the Well, What about Talking? Project, shared her interviewer experience and commented on the main objectives and tools of that genre during the Interview. All the Secrets master-class.

On the second day of the festival its members had a bus tour around the city, visited the White Tower, and the Museum of the First President of Russia Boris Yeltsin.
